Morning in Louisville

It was a gorgeous crisp morning in the Highlands. Though it should have felt like the dog days of summer, it was a cool 65 degrees on this August Monday. A sleepy, coffee-abstaining nanny decided to take her charge, a charming and lovable 11 month old redhead boy on an early morning walk, partially for exercise, partially to put him into a peaceful and hopefully hour-long slumber, and partially to wake herself up. The sounds of lawn mowers, weed wackers and hammers filled the air, and as she walked past the open screen doors of the old and well-kept homes, NPR and women's voices drifted out. She saw mothers pushing babies in strollers with dogs on leashes, people leaving for work or dropping children off at school, painters painting already white houses, an old man taking a slow walk by himself. She saw a curious orange cat, a message board and a bucket of chalk in someone's garden for messages, and birds convening on a rooftop for a morning chat. She saw light, sunshine, flowers, possibility. As the baby prince slept in his yellow carriage she saw so many things. She saw Morning in Louisville.

What I did today...

Woke up and had the Aunt Nancy's egg special for breakfast...
Watched the view. Michael J Fox was on talking about his new book and show Adventures of an Incurable Optimist. He is such an amazing person! To be dealing with the illness that he has with such dignity and grace and optimism and happiness, is inspirational.
Did laundry, made the bed, other various house-wifey things...
Went to work.

Today I just had to watch John Henry.... so we played some flying baby games,











































and watched Marley & Me (well I watched while he napped). It was a lot better than I expected it to be. Really cute and relatable... and...I think I want a dog now!





















After the movie we took a walk around the neighborhood and looked at all the gorgeous and unique houses that you just don't notice as much when you're driving in the car. Somedays I can really see us living down here!

My Little Bunny

We took a walk today, and I couldn't resist taking pictures with my cell phone of the cutest baby in the world all bundled up in his bunny bunting suit in his stroller!

I've had a lot of jobs.

2. Century 21 Real Estate - receptionist and advertising clerk
   
3. Brother's Construction - receptionist and bookkeeper
   
4. Fashion Bug - cashier
   
5. Avon - representative
   
6. My Aunt Lyn's house - taking care of my grandmother who was sick with cancer, and cleaning the house
   
7. Hill Cadillac Pontiac Buick GMC - warranty clerk, receptionist, cashier
   
8. Barnes & Noble - lead bookseller, music manager
   
9. Wyomissing Institute of the Arts - registrar and receptionist
   
10. Vision Auto Group - warranty admin.
    
11. Heritage Ford - warranty admin. and service writer
    
12. Clapp Auto Group - warranty admin.

I feel like I'm forgetting something....
But now, I think I have my favorite job, a nanny for Willow (almost 5) and John Henry (7 months)!
